Come and join us on August 17th for a day in celebration of local community arts, workshops, food and music in the outdoors! General admission tickets are £10 which grants you full day access to what we have on offer, and access to workshops can be added on to the cost of your ticket for £8. Under 18s tickets are £6, and under 12s are free but must be accompanied by an adult of 18 or over. Should you desire to do more than one workshop, we have additional workshop tickets available to buy, should you already have an admission & workshop combo ticket purchased.
Workshops are for 12yrs and older.

Description

Kayantics presents: The Summer Social!

A one day event aiming to bring together members of both local communities and those from further afield to enjoy the delights of creatives and artists around Moffat, soundtracked by the Hello?Disco DJs to keep you moving all day.

The day will run from 10:00 am until 10:00pm, consisting of workshops provided by Kofeopia’s own Hana Tilahun and Sonny Chaudry himself of Sonny Cooper Jewellery.

Workshops will be starting at 10:00am, with food available all day, and music commencing to soundtrack your day from 12:00 midday.

 

What to look forward to:

– Kofeopia traditonal coffee ceremony –

Join Kofeopia’s very own Hana Tilahun in starting the day with a traditional ritual of Ethiopia, enjoying Kofeopia’s single origin Ethiopian coffee, and spending time to gather amongst rich coffee aromas with others.

Share time, thoughts, ideas, and connect to a part of the daily routine on a deeper and more spiritual level.

– Sonny Cooper Jewellery –

Jewellery with a historical twist Join local artisan Sonny Chaudry in revisiting historic jewellery making methods working with copper to create your very own finery. Under the guidance of this creative silversmith, delve deeper into the history as well as the process behind jewellery making and ask questions about the mind behind working creatively with fine details of metalwork.

– Woodcrafting With Charlotte – 

Get hands on with local woodcrafter Charlotte in crafting your own wooden creations. Learn to build your own stool to take home for pondering your further woodwork, leaving your mark on your work with pyrography to top it all off.

– Hello?Disco –
The musical vehicle to your incredible day

Sound production from Hello?Disco will be starting from 12:00 midday to soundtrack your learning and experience in the wilderness.

Throughout the day, enjoy the variety of DJ sets and sounds until 5:00pm when the evening will open up into a more musical affair, balanced between the acoustic stage acts and Hello?Disco’s very own Boom Box trailer, from which the beats will play, being your backing track until the end of the evening at 10:00pm when the night closes.

 

Catering

Alongside all of this, Kayantics Wood Fired pizzas will be running as well as a Texas Style Low and Slow BBQ served at 6:00pm, with an art mural for you to make your mark on this year’s event alongside tea, coffee and soft drinks which available all day Alcohol is not available to purchase on this site, but you are welcome to bring your own and enjoy responsibly, being respectful of the beautiful woodland on which this event will be hosted and for those in the local community.
