Whether you are an outdoor lover or completely new to the whole thing, our bushcraft activities will teach you the essential skills in outdoor survival. Our Bushcraft day or half day activities are a great opportunity for your group to learn how to light a fire, build a shelter, perhaps make a walking stick and work as a team!
We have an area dedicated to bushcraft on the Kayantics site which includes a covered area if the weather isn’t great. Bushcraft activities make great team building days, allow you to learn some new skills and most importantly have fun!
Bushcraft Day / Bushcraft Half Day Activities:
- Fire Lighting – includes collecting the fuel for the fire and how to identify different tinder, how to construct a fire and how to use a flint and steel. Of course, we also cook a tasty snack!
- Den Building
- Fire Bowl Burning
- Branding Irons
- Walking Stick Making
- Keyring Making
- Team building activities and games
- Marshmallow toasting
Our bushcraft activities are suitable for all age groups and abilities. The activities are great for families, corporate team building or individuals. We welcome group bookings and can easily build a package to suit your requirements. If you are looking to stay for longer we can offer residential courses which include a full range of outdoor activities and bushcraft activities. If you are travelling as a family, our Shepherds hut accommodation sleeps up to 4 people and are available to book year round.
We also run after school bushcraft sessions for children in partnership with Wise Owls Nursery in Moffat. These run on Thursday afternoons throughout the winter. Please look at options below to book your child a space.
